Good location - walking distance to railway station and city centre facilities. Value for money.
Rather disconcerting first impression. Hotel is on third floor of old building and ground floor entrance is a dingy hallway leading to old fashioned (small) lift. Charge for Wi-Fi. Limited breakfast choice.

Large rooms. Good location.
Very noisy. There is a woman with learning dissabilities who lives downstairs and she shouts at all hours of the morning and evening. The staff seem to know about her and therefore ask for payment in advance as they know people would leave. The breakfast was also a bit poor. Often there was no rolls left or no cheese and no one around to ask for more.

Low-key, helpful staff, good breakfast - right in city - felt like you were a citizen of Trieste. Period atmosphere.
No worries - it gave you what you paid for.

Very friendly staff, good location close to the bus and train stations, big and airy room with very good bath and shower, pleasant breakfast.
Noise is awful, starts sometimes before 7am,going from everywhere: from located above nursing home, from the kitcheh people using full voices, from the entrance door... Plus, loud construction noise from the courtyard also before 7am. Even in New York working teams can't start work before 8am! Thank God,we've had our own earplugs! And we used them for 10 nights!

The position of the Hotel was perfect, closed to the train station, the main bus stations and the city centre. The stuff was friendly and helpful. The room was very big and the bathroom was nice and reasonably clean. The breakfast was very reasonable for the price of the room and for being an Italian hotel.
The pillows were really uncomfortable, and from the room it was easy to ear all the noises coming from the corridor, so I didn't sleep well for the all four nights I stayed there.

Its central situation is ideal for the train station and bus routes, as well as pedestrian access into the old town, port area and shopping streets. The room we had was very spacious, even a bit spartan with not much room to stow away belongings. A chest of drawers would have been useful. The beds were made for us every day. There were really excellent black-out curtains! Breakfast was served until 10am and you could help yourself to a large array of cold food, including fruit, cereal, yoghurt and cake, and hot drinks from an efficient drinks machine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would come again without doubt!
Lack of storage space in our room for clothes etc. Early morning noise from floor above.

spacious room, breakfast is generous, location is good in the city, near to the central train station, and the main piazza.
Due to its city location, it's noisy in the morning with the traffic and vehicles.

Location nearby city-centre and the reasonable price.
It was a quiet hotel with reasonable breakfast, only sleeping with open window was noisy because of outside airco-unit.

It was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. And they had a couple of very difficult customers to deal with. Was very good value for money. Great central location. The only complaint is the coffee - undrinkable!! But it's a "city of coffee" so plenty available elsewhere. But everything else really good and I would recommend it to anyone else.
only the coffee.

Excellent stay, near both the Central Station and the sea/city centre.Really nice to be in a real building and no anonymous big hotel, and we even had a small balcony, which was very pleasant.Staff young and very helpful.
